*CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 119:105-106, 112 / CEV
Leader: Your word is a lamp that gives light wherever I walk. Your laws are fair, and I have given my word to respect them all.
People: I have made up my mind to obey your laws forever, no matter what.
*HYMN OF PRAISE “Spirit of the Living God”
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (unison) and SILENT CONFESSION
Father, Son and Spirit of holiness – the gifts you have given us are many and great. How excellently you have made us. How exceptional was your strategy for us. How generous was your dream of what we would accomplish as your family on earth. Still, what a mess we have made. Forgive us our sin. Restore us to a vivid concept of our possibilities. Revive our sense of family relations. And reestablish in us your holy purposes. In divine sacred unity we pray. Amen
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Leader: Hear the Good New! God has shown us how much he loves us. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Friends, believe the Good News.
People: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven!

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen
